I get emails quite often from visitors to Digital
Camera Help with frantic questions about recovering photos they lost. I get
questions like these all the time:
'I just accidentally deleted the photos on my
memory card before I transferred them to my computer!! Is there any way to
recover the pictures that I deleted??'
'I somehow reformatted my digital camera memory
and lost all the photos stored on the card, is there a way to get those
pictures back?'
'My memory card will not read in my computer
and my digital camera gives me a memory error, are my photos lost forever?'
'I had a picture stored on my computer and
suddenly it is gone… I had just cleaned up my pc and emptied my recycle bin,
how do I get back a photo that I accidentally threw away?'

Sometimes it is a human error and sometimes it is
a hardware error,
like a computer hard drive or memory card, either
way the real loss is the information or photos you lost. Do not worry; there
is help for you to recover your lost, corrupted and deleted photos off of your
computers hard drive, an external drive or digital camera.

First thing first, if you deleted photos off your
memory card or digital camera, do not take any more photos because new photos
will be saved over the pictures you are trying to recover.
Second, check your recycle bin, I know it sounds
simple but a lot of people forget!
Next, use the software that you use to transfer
photo from your digital camera to your computer to scan the hard drive or
digital camera memory to find the photos.
If you still can not find the photos you are
looking for than the only way to recover your photos is to use recovery
software which uses a deep scan
to bring back files (including pictures) that are deleted. There are many
programs out there that can do the job for you, I recommend Recover
